In November 2020, the Russian Association of Parks held a practical session at the World Urban Parks Virtual Congress: "Management and development of the park industry of the Russian Federation in modern conditions."

The active development of the park industry got a new boost in 2011-2012. In the capital, the Moscow government launched the program 'Development of Recreation and Tourism Industry', aimed, among other things, at the improvement and socio-cultural programming of park areas. In the regions, the parking boom is just gaining momentum. The national and federal projects largely contribute to this.

City and regional governments pay serious attention to the formation of a comfortable urban environment. The practical discussion was devoted to the development of public spaces in the Russian Federation in modern conditions. It will be useful to both representatives of the highest executive authorities of Russia and CIS countries and foreign partners. Is it possible for small towns to get state funding for park development? How to build an effective model of park directorates in the subject of the Russian Federation? What does it take to develop a public space with extra-budgetary revenues and commercial partners? At what expense do the Siberian parks exist and develop? These issues were discussed by the following panelists:
