Summary of ParkSeason Expo and Parks Forum of BRICS countries 2024

The main park event of the Russian Federation has come to an end in Moscow. The combined venue of the International Exhibition-Conference ParkSeason Expo, the BRICS Parks Forum and the All-Russian Meeting of Park Directors were visited by 5,822 accredited visitors, which is 43% more than the same indicator in 2023.

The organizers were the Association of Parks of Russia and the All-Russian Protection Society for Nature with the assistance of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia, as well as with the support of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, All-Russian Association for Local Self-Government Develop and other government structures and professional associations. The initiative to hold the 1st BRICS Parks Forum was also supported by the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. More than 230 experts from 10 countries participated in the business and educational program, including 7 BRICS countries (Russia, Brazil, India, China, South Africa, Iran, Egypt), as well as invited experts from Belarus, Qatar and North Korea.

The visitors of the exhibition and business program were park directors, representatives of regional administrations, heads of municipalities, specialists in landscaping, utilities, urban planning, architecture, tourism, ecology, natural resource management and owners of leading companies that produce equipment, materials and technology for parks and public spaces from 412 cities and settlements. The number of exhibitors increased from 74 to 106 exhibition stands. The building area grew to 3100 square meters net, which is also an absolute record for the exhibition. For the first time, a TV studio of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation was organized for live broadcasting during the event.
