Park Forum. Day No.2

The second day of the «Park forum of industry experts: management of parks and public spaces» was devoted to practical meetings with representatives of the management of park spaces. The participants visited 6 territories. In the morning the delegates were divided into two groups: one group went to Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve, and the other group — to the Botanical Garden of the MSU «Apothecary Garden». In the daytime two groups met in Sokolniki Park, where a practical workshop was held by the Chairman of the Association Council, the Director of Sokolniki Park Andrey Lapshin, as well as a visit to significant sites of the Park — Museum of Sokolniki history, Chess and Checkers Club, the Avenue of Arches, the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy, Children’s Creative Activity Centre, a Large Rosary, Pioner outdoor cinema and Mercato trattoria, where they had a lunch. After that combined group proceeded to the VDNH (National Economy Achievement Exhibition). There was a tour of parterre gardens, as well as a tour of Cosmos pavilion with a new exhibition. The day ended with inspecting the territories of small spaces of the dormitory suburb — Babushkinsky Park and the Olonets passage square park.
