Park Forum. Day No.1
On July 3, 2018, in Moscow Zaryadye Park a two-day «Park forum of industry experts: management of parks and public spaces» was opened. NPCO Association of Parks with the support of Moscow State Public Institution Joint Directorate Mosgorpark, Moscow State Autonomous Institution of Culture Zaryadye Park and ParkSeason. ru portal hosted the event.
Despite the fact that the idea of the forum had appeared only at the end of May and there was no time to prepare, we received applications for accreditation from more than 30 cities, including Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Kaliningrad, Veliky Novgorod, Tula, Tver, Ryazan, Ivanovo, Kaluga, Izhevsk, Kirovo-Chepetsk and many others.
Among honorary guests and speakers of the forum we should note the Director of Mosgorpark Vyacheslav Dunaev, the Director of Zaryadye Park Pavel Trekhleb, the Vice-President of the Center for Strategic Development Natalia Trunova, the Director of Botanical Garden of Moscow State University "Apothecary Garden"Alexey Reteyum, chief landscape architect of the Gorky Central Entertainment and Recreation Park Lidia Leontieva, the Director of Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve Elizaveta Fokina, the Director of the Moscow Zoo Svetlana Akulova, the Director of Babushkinsky Park Igor Buskin, the General Director of Pioner Cinema Mary Nazari, the General Director of ParkSeason Denis Tsukanov, the Director of the Joint Directorate Khimki Parks Alexander Kvasnikov, the researcher Artem Gerasimenko, the General Director of Autocamper company Yury Elashkin and the Director of Sokolniki Park Andrey Lapshin.
At the end of the business part of the program all forum guests were invited to a tour through Zaryadye Park with visiting of the underground museum, ice cave, the Flight over Moscow attraction and the floating bridge.
YUM!, Restaurants Russia & CIS, Barrier and Eksmo publishing house were partners and sponsors of the event. Each company held a presentation for park directors and heads of city administrations, presenting their ideas for implementation in the parks of Moscow and regions.
